MKR What's For Dinner

Once I was watching tv these two men came and knocked on the door. I opened it and they asked me if I can cook and I said yes. they took me to MKR headquarters and said if you want a challenge here’s your chance. They told me I have to make 3 recipes. I decided to make a burrito with lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber, a cake with lollies on top with icing, and nacho mince with chips. While I was cooking I was feeling a bit shy but at the same time I felt excited. For my starter I decided to make a burrito, to make this i needed to get all of my ingredients together. I made the burrito with Sliced tomatoes, cucumbers and bread with butter and sauce on the top. I made the cake with 2 eggs and a little bit of butter and I’ve put it in the oven for about an hour and put it in the fridge for like 30 minutes. I made the nachos with mince with a bag of chips, nachos, and mince I mixed them together and put the nacho’s on the very top with the chips.

While I was making it Manu said it smells delicious, he walked around and said “times running out chop chop.” as he said he was walking around and waiting patiently. So the food was ready and I served it to the 3 people. Once they tasted it they said that will be a 10/10 and all the others said I’m gonna give you a 10. I was happy I made it into the finals. In the final I cooked apple crumble with peaches, a 2017 cake with candles on the top, and finally a pizza with a delicious taste in it. The pizza was with cheese and sauce and then I served it since it was ready and I  still won! I was so happy.

      

I was so amazingly happy I shouted loudly “this is my best day ever.” I also won a lot of cool amazing stuff. I thanked Pete and Manu and gave them a big hug.

I was the luckiest girl in the world.

How to swim in safe ways……..

Body 1: (4-5 sentences). Getting read for swimming: What did you need to do in order to get the the swimming pools

We walked and runed sensibly to the pools and back.We put on our togs on. The two ladies and 1 man taught us how to do safety swimming. They taught us really interesting stuff.

Body 2:  4-5 sentences. Water Safety: What did you learn about water safety during your swimming lessons, you can use the resources to help you get ideas if you can’t remember!

We learnt alot of stuff when we were swimming. The lessons were important stuff for when we go to the beach.

Body 3:  4-5 sentences. Learning to swim: Along with the water safety what swimming skills did you learn what do you think you were better at in the end of swimming lessons?

I think what was important was what they said about the beach. I think everything that we did at the pools was all fun mostly jumping on the boat. I will tell my fano i jumped on a boat.

So the hunters were having breakfast but it was too hot so oldest hunter which was Bob said let’s go to wait and go for a walk in the forest. Then their came a girl named Kelsey, she was told to get some berries and also told not to go far. While she was getting them she didn't know her way and asked herself “where am I?” So then she saw a house and she knocked but no one was there, so she opened the the door and saw some chicken to eat. She walked and tried the big bowl it was too hot, so she tried the medium bowl it was to cold, so she tried the small one and she ate it all and said that was delicious. She went to the living room and tried the big seat, it was to hard, she tried the large one it was to soft, so then she tried the little one it was perfect but she broke it. After that she walked to the bedroom, she tried the big bed, it was to hard and she couldn't get on it, she tried the large one it was to soft, so she tried the little one and she broke it and tried to put it back together.She walked into a beautiful clean room,she tried the big bed it was way to hard, so she tried the large one it was to soft, s then she tried the lucky last and it was perfect so she fell fast asleep just like sleeping beauty. Then the 3 hunters came and the oldest hunter named Bob said who ate my jelly, second hunter said who ate mine, little hunter said who ate mine and sadly cried. So they walked to the living room and Bob said who sat on my chair, then the other one sam said who sat on my chair, then the little one calais said someone broke my chair and calais cried. So they walked into the room,the oldest said who slept in my bed, second said who slept in my bed, then little one said who is she, and kelsey waked up and ran and jumped out from the window and she didn't stop until she found her home and she told her mum sorry for being late I saw some hunters. But she did not know that they would not harm her all she needed to say is sorry.

On Tuesday in the morning we played who am I in reading. My partner is Punaiaru she is my best best friend and I was Hulk and she was Jasmine from Aladdin I guest who I was in one go Punaiaru did’nt know her one cause she couldn't` see it i told her that her one was Jasmine from aladdin.

When Miss Parrant was talking it sounded easy but it was actually hard. While she was talking I felt so nervous but I knew I could do it. The day after yesterday we played the game again I was a fish I knew it because a saw the F at the beginning.

If i did it again the I would do it in a different way by not using paper because you can see through it so I decided that i will just use pen because you can’t see it if it's on your head.

Start Writing Here:  In the morning miss Parrant took us to the field near the park. Room 8 Literacy have to put on a blind folder to cover our eyes, Before that we have to get one partner so that we can take turns. My partner was Megan,while we were playing I found Megan..I felt her arm and it felt like The-Zins but when I heard the voice it sounded like Indiana but it was actually Megan. When we were playing I felt nervous because I thought that I might hit into something hard or I might trip. My favorite bit was when I was in because I thought that Megan was Tha- Zin and Indiana at the same time. Me and Megan calls the game Blind Man Booth. After we played the game we was going back inside to do the writing test the game was fun like I mean Amazing. I wish we can play the game again but I wish that I was’nt in first.

Camp is a thing that you go to at school or somewhere else, It’s like a Trip for kids and that. At Pt England School, we went camp on the 8th of march, We did it at school for fun. I was in the captains with Mr Goodwin, I was sleeping with Punaiuru, Tha-zin, and Jerreka. Everyday our friend Rozaida always visited,because she was a day camper.The activity campers was doing was kill zone with Mr J,we went to the pools everyday, and in the hall was where we got to play anything, It was my first camp,and we got to go kayaking it was cold.

Paragraph 2 Highlights. What were your favourite parts, and why?

My favorite part was going to the pools and kayaking with Mr Burt. I like it because I like swimming, I most liked the Moana Nui pools because I went down the slide,It was the best time of this year for me.
