Telling Time

Today we had to make a time clock and name the time and put a arrow that matches the time, we had to tell the time clock with the hands, the long hand means the minute hand and the short one means that is the hour hand.

Military Time

This week we are learning about military time and it was so fun also it felt like a challenge, for example if the time said 12.23pm in military time it will be spelt as 2423 because it is afternoon and it is like the 24 hour clock but everything put together. We had to create a hexagon out of 24 triangles it was cool and kind of annoying but mostly fun.

Myths And Legends

The Myths and Legends is about all the things I've learned this week with every teacher and in the boxes is the Title of the tasks, the country and teacher who was teaching us I enjoyed making this poster.

Turkish Delight

Image result for turkish delight

Today after lunchtime Mrs Moala gave room 1 students a turkish delight lollie, the photo on top is what it looks like, I thought it was kind of nice but at the same time not really. Most of the students in room 1 said that they didn't like it because of the powder and the sugar, but to me I didn't even mind. It tasted like jelly and a nice powder on top. When I first got the turkish delight it looked so squishy and delicious and I was right.

A World Of Difference

Today 20th of July also the first day back for Term 3, we had a  immersion assembly and we learnt new things, first Mr Burt showed us his hat collection they were all from the places he traveled, he travels alot. then Mr Jacobsen showed and told us about his family his Great Grandfather was the kings bestfriend and the king gave his Great Grandfather land, and this kilt that turned out to be a traditional air loom from his brother and it was over a hundred years. Later on Mr Sommerville learnt something about himself in the holidays, he realized that his Grandfather was a knight from Scotland, and that he was the 3rd generation that came to New Zealand out of his family. Right after that we watched Team 1's movie, it was about kids asking what they done in the holidays, Team 2's movie was about Dora exploring the world, Team 3's movie was about the kids eating and asking "what country was that food made from?" Term 4's movie was about Sina and the Eel.

The Story of Sina and the Eel

Sina is a girl that would always talk to a Eel but the Eel kept asking her to marry her and that he was once a Prince, she got frightened and said "NO" the Eel was so sad and kept watching her and asking, then she told her Sister and her Uncle to kill the Eel, They cut the Eel's head and buried it, it will now turn into a palm tree and grow big with coconuts, Sina would drink the coconuts as a way of kissing the Eel.
